Former Champion Dornan Makes Stunning Comeback

Lucas Dornan made an outstanding return to the sport, winning the first event after a hiatus. Dornan, a former UK long-distance champion, had taken a break from the sport due to injuries and tournament closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. He sensed that the sport had regained its momentum with increased investments and visibility and decided to make a resounding comeback to test his abilities.

While on vacation, Dornan entered a local tournament to assess his current performance. Despite using outdated equipment, he confidently achieved a club speed in the mid-140s and hit five shots over 400 yards, securing the title. Encouraged by this triumph, he has re-entered the WLD tour and is preparing to compete on the main stage in the coming months.

Recognized as the founder of LDWS and having hosted tour events worldwide, Dornan’s return has been endorsed by 2-time world champion Joe Miller. Miller firmly believes that Dornan’s influence, skills, and persona will bring attention to the sport, ultimately benefiting golf as a whole.
